Privacy Policy

Short version

Younique collects and sends no personal data. Everything you do — generating names, saving favorites, choosing a font — stays on your device (or in your own iCloud).

What do we store?

On your device: your favorite names (via Apple's SwiftData), your chosen font, and the status of your Premium purchase. None of this is sent to our servers — we don't have any servers.

Purchases

The Premium purchase goes entirely through Apple's App Store. We don't receive any payment details. Apple may share your receipt and purchase status with the app — we use those only to unlock Premium features. Family Sharing members get automatic access via Apple's own mechanism.

Tracking & analytics

Younique uses no analytics, no ads, and no tracking SDKs. No events or error reports are sent to external services.

iCloud sync

Premium users with iCloud enabled can sync their Youniquelist across their own Apple devices via Apple's SwiftData/CloudKit. This is encrypted via your own Apple ID — we have no access to it. Family Sharing members keep their own iCloud, so they see their own favorites, not anyone else's.

Sharing

When you share a name with the share icon, the standard iOS share sheet opens. The name goes directly to the chosen app (iMessage, WhatsApp, Mail, etc.) — Younique itself sends no data and keeps no record.

Children

Younique is a tool for (expectant) parents. We deliberately collect no data, so the app is suitable for all ages.
